About us
In collaboration with the Center for Advanced Heart Failure, Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute of Houston, this year we are organizing the 14th international symposium Innovations and New Treatment Strategies in Heart Failure.
The symposium will take place on September 13th and 14th, 2021 at Grand hotel Bernardin Congress Center in Portorož, Slovenia; we aim to organize a live symposium which will also be streamed online for the registered participants that may not be able to join the symposium due to the Covid-19 related limitations. Participation has already been confirmed by numerous lecturers from Slovenia, Europe and the USA, so we are looking forward to a symposium rich in content and discussion.
As in all previous years, there is no registration fee. All participants will need to present their Covid green pass in order to be able to register and attend the meeting. Antigen testing will be available on-site for the participants without a valid Covid green pass.

Symposium Organizing Committee
Slovenian Society for Heart Transplantation is an interdisciplinary forum that aims to link all professionals that are involved in different aspects of heart transplantation in Slovenia.
The Society was formed based on a substantial increase of heart transplantation numbers in Slovenia in the recent years, which ranked Slovenia #1 in the world in the number of heart transplants per million population.
The principal mission of the Society is to enhance the education and awareness in the field of heart transplantation, to interact with patient forums, to publish periodicals and monographs, to organize national and international conferences in the fields of advanced heart failure and heart transplantation, and to collaborate with international transplant societies (International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, European Society for Organ Transplantation).
